Mubasher: Gulf Hotels Group’s profits for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2016 leapt by 62.3% to BHD 2.89 million ($7.6 million), versus BHD 1.78 million ($4.7 million) for Q3-15.

Net profit for the first nine months of 2016 increased 58.7% to BHD 12.35 million from BHD 7.79 million for the same period last year, according to a bourse filing released on Thursday.

Operating profit grew by 1.6% to BHD 10.36 million for the nine-month period, compared to BHD 10.19 million for the corresponding period of 2015.

The company earlier posted a year-on-year rise of 57.3% in its profits for the first half of 2016 to BHD 9.45 million.
